Yakisha T. Simmons made her debut into the literary world in 2007 with the release of her first inspirational book titled Between a Rock and a Hard Place . Readers experienced first-hand her love for people and her life-changing and hope-filled message. 2010 marks the release of this breakout author's second inspirational book titled The True You . In The True You , Yakisha takes the readers on a journey of self-discovery from a biblical perspective, crushing all negative interpretations, proving she's not just another inspirational writer, but a divinely appointed messenger of the good news.
Yakisha is on the ministerial staff and is a Praise & Worship leader at New Bethel SOP in Summerville, SC. She is married to Jonathan Simmons and they have two delightful children. She is committed to living victoriously and dedicated to sharing joyous living principles. She completed undergraduate studies at the University of South Carolina, an MBA at Webster University and is employed as a Senior Technical Writer for the Navy. She serves on the Board of Directors for Crisis Ministries , a local non-profit homeless shelter, and volunteers with a host of organizations in her community.
Yakisha and her husband founded Life Changers Enterprise, a birthing business, created to assist other people of purpose with their goals. Services offered include, writing and editorial, publishing, graphic design and marketing, music tracks and production.
